Website SEO for small businesses in South Africa

SEO means making it easy for Google to read your website and show it to people who are searching for what you sell. Here is what we do, and what nobody can promise.

What SEO is included

SEO is part of the Business plan. It covers the basics that decide whether Google can find, read and list your pages:

  • Page titles and descriptions written for each page, using the words your customers search.
  • A sitemap, so Google can find every page.
  • Speed checks, because slow pages lose visitors on mobile data.
  • A monthly search report that shows what is working.
  • One blog post a month of 500 to 600 words that answers a question your customers ask. You approve it before it goes live.
  • Google Business Profile set-up if you do not have one. Read our Google Business Profile guide.

What we cannot promise

Nobody can promise you a number one spot on Google, and anyone who does is guessing. Rankings depend on your competition, your area, how new your site is, your reviews and the quality of your pages. New websites usually take time to show up, and the first searches that appear are often your business name and very specific phrases.

What we can promise is that the technical basics are done properly and that fresh, useful content goes on your site every month.

What actually helps a small business rank

  1. A clear page for each thing you sell. A page about "brake repairs" can match that search. A page that says "our services" cannot.
  2. The right Google Business Profile category. According to the local SEO agency Whitespark, the primary category is one of the strongest things you control.
  3. Real reviews. A steady flow of genuine reviews, with replies from you, builds trust. Do not buy or write your own.
  4. Content that answers questions. Our website cost guide is an example: it answers one question in full, with tables and sources.
  5. Consistent details. Use the same business name, hours and contact details on your site, your profile and any directory listing.

Questions people ask

What does SEO cost in South Africa?

Stand-alone SEO retainers usually cost more than a small business website does. With Kasisite, basic monthly SEO is included in the Business plan at R899 once off plus R499 a month. See the website cost guide for the market ranges.

How long does SEO take to work?

Expect weeks to months, not days. A new site has to be found, read and trusted before it climbs. Reviews and fresh content speed it up.

Will you guarantee me a first-page ranking?

No. No honest studio can. We do the technical work properly, publish useful content and report on what happens.

Do I need a blog?

A blog is the easiest way to answer the questions your customers search, and each post is one more page that can show up on Google. The Business plan includes one post a month.

Do you also set up my Google Business Profile?

Yes, if you do not have one. It is included in the Business plan. Read the Google Business Profile guide to see how it works.
